El llibre que presentem és únic en el seu format i contingut. Es tracta d’un conjunt de dotze textos que aborden –des de diferents punts de vista (des del més biogràfic al més institucional i legal)– el fenomen –cada cop més estès– de les parelles mixtes islamocristianes. L’hem concebut com una mena de manual que resumeix les principals problemàtiques i reptes que suposa una aventura d’aquestes característiques.
Vol ser una eina útil per a quatre tipus de lectors:
1r Els principals protagonistes, els enamorats, nuvis o parelles ja constituïdes.
2n Les seves famílies, pares i amics que es fan mil i una preguntes.
3r Els agents pastorals i socials (sacerdots, imams, pastors, advocats, jutges…) encarregats d’aconsellar els dos grups anteriors.
4t Qualsevol altra parella o persona singular que es vulgui deixar interpel·lar per aquesta aventura.
Aquí no només es tracta del fenomen pròpiament islamocristià, sinó que més enllà, el que el llibre proposa és iniciar un debat sobre la «mixitat» en la nostra societat. En les llars islamocristianes es donen en micro, concentradament, tots els grans reptes que la nostra societat té plantejats en macro. Quantes parelles mixtes, de fet, hi ha en la nostra societat? Formades per persones de creences diverses que conviuen en estreta relació familiar (creients i no creients, creients de diverses tradicions i confessions, etc.). En el repte de l’estimació íntima entre persones de diverses ideologies, orígens i formes de concebre la vida ens hi va bona part del nostre futur com a societat. Un gran repte d’acceptació de la diversitat al qual haurem de saber respondre col·lectivament i que haurà de ser obra de tots. Aquest llibre ofereix als diferents lectors elements de reflexió provocadors i d’un irresistible interès per a un públic molt ampli.<\/p>\n
